Village two of the Ellenbrook development required the highest level of collaboration with the client and the multi-disciplinary project team so as to optimise the broad site planning and establish a strong theme around which the estate could be developed.

The strength of the landscape theme proposed ultimately led to the renaming of the estate and became the prime focus of the marketing campaign. Key areas of the development include the grade separation of the public and private realms, the main pedestrian bridge and the focal point campanile which has immediately become the icon for this high quality yet affordable residential estate.

Blackwell & Associates played a primary role in developing the lake layout which was modelled largely from the harbour of the coastal town of Portofino in Italy. The scope of the soft and hard landscape design work undertaken by Blackwell & Associates included the main pedestrian bridge and the campanile.
