Blackwell & Associates were commissioned, with Marion Blackwell as the project designer, to prepare a landscape plan for the new wine tasting area at Voyager Estate in Margaret River.

The brief was to create a Garden Estate in the Cape Dutch style.

The dominant soft landscape theme for Voyager Estate revolves around the Rose. The Cape Dutch nautilus motif, with its renowned point of beauty, has also been used extensively in both the architectural ornamentation and in the landscape.

The visitor car parking has been discretely contained by white rendered walls. This device was chosen to help reduce the impact of the car parking on the landscape. At the same time the recurring use of these walls helps to strengthen the overall landscape theme and tie it back into the Cape Dutch architectural theme.
